Father Athanasius Attia
Father Athanasius Attia grew up in Melbourne and graduated from Victoria University with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) in 1994. Before entering priesthood, Father Athanasius had served for St. George’s Church and St Mary’s Church teaching grades six through high school, becoming a high school and university coordinator.
He is currently a Coptic Orthodox representative to the NCCA – National Council of Churches in Australia as and a member in the Faith & Unity Commission for Copts in Australia as well as the VCC – Victorian Council of Churches. Father Athanasius has been serving at St. Mina and St. Marina Coptic Church in Hallam, Victoria since his ordination. Father Athanasius is married to Tasoni Vivian Attia and they have a son and three daughters. |
