In 1992 Pope Shenouda III delegated Fr. Abanoub Attalla to establish and serve Saint Mina and Saint Marina church, the sixth Church in Melbourne. Liturgical services first began in a hired hall in Endeavour Hills. On 3 March 1993 His Holiness Pope Shenouda III laid the foundation stone for a permanent church for Saint Mina and Saint Marina and services began in the new makeshift church on 9 April 1993. On 23 November 2000 workmen began digging the foundations for a new larger building that would have space for a hall, Sunday school rooms and two churches; one each for the English and Arabic liturgies. Stage one of the building is no complete with a beautiful church hall build to combine the beauty f the Coptic iconography and architectural style with the most modern facilities. The Church was officially opened on 3 January 2002.
